draind bonerAs always, Trampolene is playing catch up. All the recent releases mentioned below have now been added to the albums section as well as the new Brain Donor album Drain'd Boner. The album was briefly available at Head Heritage, but distribution has now been shifted to a wider circle and the cd is available at HMV and other music stores.

A Brain Donor gig was announced for October 6, 2006 at The Cooler in Bristol, but sadly it had to be cancelled due to Julian sustaining a chest injury. We hope he gets well soon.

March 8, 2006

Well, the tour is sadly now over, but by all accounts it was a good one. Julian, Mr. E, Doggen and Zachary certainly rocked ol' Blighty with fantasic renditions of songs old and new from the extensive Cope repertoir.

Many thanks to all of those who sent pictures from various shows. I will endevour to post as many as possible here on Trampolene for all to see. Click here to view.

Along with the tour came several new musical releases. On sale in very limited numbers at each venue were copies of the Jehovahkill Companion. This is the two cd set that was the original cd single release of Fear Love This Place, slightly repackaged.

concert climax

Also up for grabs was Concert Climax. The description at Head Heritage says:

"This limited edition Italian-only release purports to be recorded live at 2005's Urbino Festival, though in truth it also includes unreleased studio sessions and four brand new songs including the 11-minute epic 'How the West Was Lost' and the Skynyrd-inspired heavy ballad 'Lost Generation'."

rite bastard

The second new release was the final installment in the Rite series - Rite Bastard. Again, Head Heritage describes it as: "This fourth and final installment of the 14-year-long Rite series collects together the first (and, until now, lost) 1990 kraut funkathon "Too Stone" with the latest 2005 unsignposted funkathon "So Tough". Meditational music that's also good for sex and ritual, driving and deep theta meditation. 8-page booklet includes explanation of the Rite series manifesto, modus operandi and musical aspirations.

Both of these releases are currently for sale at Head Heritage. Full details of both these releases will be made available here on Trampolene, once Mr. Postie delivers my copies!

Free-Way have been announced as the support act for Julian at the Bournemouth Opera House on February 15. Their press release describes them as:

"a band that deserve your attention. With such diverse influences as the London punk scene of the 1970’s, this Bournemouth four-piece staunchly refuse to be tied down by a record-label imposed image, and provide a much needed divergence from the art-school rock currently dominating the British music scene."

As you know, Julian released a new album on November 16, 2005, titled Dark Orgasm. It is another 2-disk set which see's Cope really back on form and as always, it is beautifully packaged, with slip case and booklet. The tracks are:

3. She's Gotta Ring On Her Finger (& Another One Through Her Nose)
4. Mr. Invasion
5. Nothing To Lose Except My Mind
6. I've Found A New Way To Love Her
7. I Don't Wanna Grow Back

Side Two
1. The Death & Resurrection Show

Full details can be found here.

In other news, Julian and band played a session on the BBC Radio 2 Mark Radcliffe show on January 10, 2006. They played three songs, Zoroaster, Homeless Strangers and a new song titled When All You've Got Is A Hammer, Everything Looks LIke A Nail, which Julian said is from the rock opera he is working on called A Dick in the Afterlife.
